Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Ashrif in his 19 years of expertise as a Professor of Electrical, Electronic, and System Engineering has had an outstanding career. His areas of specialization include water and environmental applications, medical instruments, biochemistry, and engineering education. At Geneva, Switzerland’s 21st International New Inventions and Products Exhibition in 2004, he was awarded an invention award for his Automatic Protection Switch. During the British Invention Show in the United Kingdom that same year, he was awarded a Gold Medal Award for his invention, which was an optical fibre duplexer module. Additionally, he has appeared in several reputable trade journals. Eight patents in his field of specialization have been developed by Dr. Ashrif thus far. His dedication to this position has allowed him to speak at numerous national and international conferences. He was named to The Future Research Board of Directors in December 2023, where he will oversee the research management and institute’s advancement of excellence in service.
